Explaining the KODOKAN GO KYO NO WAZA by Willem Visser

In the coming weeks www.judomanagement.com will publish articles explaining the KODOKAN GO KYO NO WAZA.

The content of the technical articles consists of the explanation of the Kodokan Go Kyo no Waza, the description of a basic preparing move before the specific throwing technique and a short explanation of the biomechanics of each throwing technique.

The main target of the Kodokan Go Kyo no Waza is to learn Judo in the most professional methodical way.

The description of the preparing moves are according to the teaching of late Sensei Ichiro Abe, 10th Dan Kodokan. The description is the basic movement of each throwing technique; of course other opportunities of preparation moves are possible.

The short explanation of the biomechanics are strictly necessary, if a coach is working with judoka at top level. Top level needs an individual approach based on individual competences. The coach can use the biomechanics as basis to refine and adjust the technique for the individual.
